I just came across this Japan Times article with some helpful information about the danger, or potential lack of danger, of low-level radiation in Japan. This is something to keep in mind when thinking about possibly living in Japan in the future. A part I found especially poignant:

“… various forms of cancer account for as much as one-third of all deaths in Japan, with major factors including smoking, insufficient consumption of vegetables and lack of exercise.”

A good resource for staying up-to-date on some of the developments concerning the Fukushima situation is this Facebook page (44 News Box).
